Antique Architectural Fragment with Gilt circa 1850 Framed

This is an antique fragment, white paint with gold gilt accents. It has been mounted on (new but weathered) painted boarding and surrounded with new weathered gilded wood framing, accenting the fragment piece. This is made up of 1 fragment, typical of items carved during this period. This one has a bit of a garden type motif.

It appears that all of the fragment surfaces are original to the piece. There are some chips on the piece, consistent with age and use. We have tried to take close up pictures illustrating this.

The gold framing does have slight spacing in the corners where the frame pieces meet. The outside board itself rests 1.25″ from the wall. The fragment piece is deeper and protrudes from the piece.

The piece is easy to hang because of the wood makeup of the back. It comes with D-rings, however it could be hung in any manner.
