Italian Walnut Farmhouse Table, Circa 1800

Italian Walnut Farmhouse Table with a trestle base and wood plank top (The top is removable for moving / easier transporting).

The top of this beautiful table is a single piece of solid Italian walnut! There is a magnificent burl at one end of the top which just adds to its beauty and value. It has been constructed sometime in the 1800s and possibly older. In the 1700s-1800s it was really the only way tables were constructed. The thick top with its smooth worn edges, grooves and beautiful grain is filled with character. The base has a stretcher going through the shaped end pieces with platform feet supporting everything.

This antique Italian table will enhance any room it is placed in.
