19th Century Swedish Two-Tiered Sterling Silver Dessert Stand, created by silversmith Gustaf Möllenborg and presenting a floral and foliage décor. This unusual server is from Sweden and made in 1848 (Stamped S4). We have included clear pictures of the hallmarks. Swedish silver is rare and it was not easy to determine the correct way to describe. We can not find the “style”. This was made directly post Gustavian Period. It is quite intricately made and somewhat “lacy”. There are a few damaged places, but due to the style, they are not majorly noticeable. As pictured above, small leaf came off but will be sent with the piece.
We also have a similar listing with another sterling silver dessert stand (Stamped R4). Message us or view our listings if interested in both of these pieces.
