COUNTDOWN TO A GOOD CAUSE…
At MAI and MAI Consigned this week, we’ll be counting the days until our Pink Ribbon event. On Saturday, April 17, we’ll be showing our support for the 5th annual Pink Ribbon House. This decorator showcase home is just a few blocks from our location, and tickets ($15) for tours of the home are now on sale at our store. Proceeds benefit Baylor College of Medicine’s programs and the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center.
Throughout the day on the 17th, customers can enjoy finding special pink-tagged items (portions of sales go to BCM) in the booths, burlap and pink-ribboned miniature roses ($10), and front window art bras ($50 minimum donation) on sale. Informative and inspirational presentations will be given by a BCM physican and a cancer survivor, beginning at 12:00. Refreshments will be served as well.
Several local publications will be on hand to take photographs, too. Why not be a part of the crowd, and then carpool with your friends to tour the Pink Ribbon House? See you on Saturday!
